East Texas Goat Raisers Association Youth
The ETGRA is an educational organization and as such, values the importance of the livestock industry as a whole in creating better opportunities for youth.
Youth memberships are available for $10/year. Youth can receive all of the adult member benefits except for voting or holding office, with the additional benefit of earning awards for being active in the goat industry.
The award program is divided by age groups, with year-end awards given based on points submitted by the youth member. Point program information is available below.
Additionally, the ETGRA awards an annual scholarship. Recent changes to the scholarship program are as follows:
1) the candidate or a direct relative (unrelated sponsor may be considered by committee approval) must be an active ETGRA member for the two consecutive years prior to application.
2) the candidates must be in high school.
3) candidates may reapply for the scholarship annually, but a new application must be submitted each time.
4) maximum scholarship value is up to $1,000 yearly.
